Upcoming Performances

Looking forward to seeing family, friends and fellow team members come out and support the WCHS Dance Teams at the LA County Fair tonight.  Hopefully, we will also see you tomorrow evening at West Covina High School where the Dance Team will perform their second halftime showcase! 

• LA County Fair Parade: Sept 22. Step-off is at 5pm.  The parade route is roughly 1.5 miles, and participants will march throughout the FAIR.
• 2nd Halftime Showcase: Sept 23.  Kick-off for the game is at 7:00pm.  Halftime is usually 7:45pm, but it has ranged from 7:30 - 8:00pm.

First Halftime Showcase

Hope to see you at the WCHS Football Game tonight where Dance/Drill and All Male Teams will perform their first halftime showcase!  The dancers have dedicated so much time and talent to this production; we hope that you can come cheer them on and support all their hard work.

Kick-off is at 7:00pm.  Halftime is typically around 7:45pm, but we recommend early attendance because games have been known to move faster!

Disney Half Marathon

THANKS AGAIN TO ALL OF THE WCHS DANCERS who worked so hard at the Disney Half Marathon on Sunday, September 4th.  We are so proud of you all for dancing and cheering NON-STOP!

GREAT WORK EVERYONE!  WHAT A FANTASTIC JOB!

ALL DDT & AM dancers must fill out a photo release agreement form in order to participate in the Disney Half Marathon this Sunday, Sept 4.  Disney will have a film crew out along the route, and they need your permission to use any footage in news or advertising. THIS FORM MUST BE TURNED IN TO MRS. JULIEN BY THURSDAY, SEPT 1 DURING ZERO PERIOD.  Copies of this form CAN be picked up during zero period, if you do not have a printer at home.

USA Camp (DDT) Reminder

While some DDT participants will attend the USA Home Camp, ALL AM & DDT team members, family and friends are invited to attend the USA Closing Ceremonies on Sunday, August 28 at 3:30pm in the School Gym.  We hope that you can come support your fellow teammates by cheering them on!

Fall Begins

Thank you to ALL DDT & AM Dancers and their families for the hard work this summer.  It's been such a pleasure to work with everyone, and we hope that this proves to be another successful year for the WCHS Dance/Drill and All Male Teams.  Have a great first semester!

USA Camps Questionnaire

The Staff are arranging WCHS Dance Teams involvement in a summer dance camp.  This year, we'd like to have our program work with USA Camps.  We'd like to hear your feedback, which is why we've arranged an anonymous, 6 question survey that we hope all students and parents/guardians will answer.

DIVA DANCE OFF

Come see the WCHS Dance Teams award winning routines, group projects and individual solos showcased. Also available are performances from different dance teams.  Come out for a night filled with different styles of dance.

Dance/Drill & All Male Win National Championship Titles

The WCHS Dance/Drill & All Male teams competed at USA Nationals from March 25-26 at the Anaheim Convention Center.  Congratulations to Small All Male for winning the USA National Championship. The team also took Hip Hop Sweepstakes for earning the highest score out of all hip hop teams for its performance.  Congratulations also to Dance/Drill Small Pom for winning the USA Nationals Championship.  Other USA Nationals Placers for Dance/Drill & All Male include:

• Small Military – 2^nd Place
• JV Large Military – 2^nd Place
• Co-Ed Dance – 3^rd Place
• Large All Male – 3^rd Place
• Varsity Large Military – 4^th Place
